I have always been passionate about teaching and believing in the transformative power of education. At Deskgraphics, I had the opportunity to combine this passion with my BIM expertise in a grand project: the implementation of BIM in Serra City Hall, in Espírito Santo.
Challenges and Learnings:
The project at Serra City Hall was challenging and rewarding in many ways. We started with the implementation of a pilot project, which required a great deal of adaptation and learning from everyone involved. It was at this point that my passion for teaching became even more important.
Teaching the Future:
I delivered a complete Revit Structural training course, from basic to advanced, for the city hall employees. We created a complete template, both architectural and structural, considering the importance of coordination between the areas from the beginning of the project.
Parametric Families: The Basis for Success:
One of the highlights of the training was the development of parametric structural families. I taught the participants how to create families that contain all the necessary information and the proper detailing, optimizing the modeling process and ensuring the quality of the project.
Covering Diverse Solutions:
We addressed the development of structures in wood, reinforced concrete and steel. I am currently deepening my knowledge in steelframe technology, which will soon be available here on my blog.
Transforming Lives Through BIM:
I believe that BIM is more than just a technology. It is a powerful tool that can transform the way we design, build and manage projects. And for this transformation to be complete, teaching is essential.
Conclusion:
My experience at Serra City Hall was a milestone in my career and life. It was the opportunity to put into practice my passion for teaching and technology, contributing to the transformation of the public sector through BIM.
